Catherine is an experienced commercial real estate attorney who advises clients on the broad range of development, land use, entitlement, financing, acquisition and disposition issues that arise in complex industrial, multifamily, retail, and resort projects.

She guides local, regional, and national developers in the acquisition, development and financing of property, including industrial and multifamily residential buildings, offices, retail venues, ski resorts, golf courses, mixed-use developments and undeveloped land.

With a nuanced understanding of Colorado's business and commercial real estate climate, Catherine has represented big-box retailers and regional developers on land use, title, and financing matters. Her practice has a national reach, including complex development projects for major industrial projects and ski resorts, along with significant mixed-use projects and portfolio acquisitions for clients in the industrial, multifamily residential, convenience store and gas station, retail, resort, hospitality and recreation industries. In addition, she represents clients in the acquisition and disposition of vineyards and farms.

Adam J. Penkhus, Esq.

Senior Counsel

Adam is Hildreth Law's Senior Counsel and with nearly two decades having represented clients on both sides of complex commercial real estate, land use, zoning matters, financing, and leasing transactions. Adam has also represented clients before municipal planning commissions, planning departments, zoning boards of appeals, zoning committees, and community groups and organizations. Adam brings sophisticated negotiation and strategic problem solving skills to his clients' most intricate business and development challenges.

Adam uses his expertise to represent publicly traded companies, regional and national developers, property owners, and business owners, both locally and nationally, in the negotiation and closing of multifaceted commercial real estate transactions, including professional sports facilities, regional distribution centers, medical complexes, mixed-use commercial and residential developments, and municipal infrastructure projects. He brings in-depth knowledge of complex development matters, guiding clients through zoning challenges, planned developments, special uses, variations, subdivisions, vacations, and various other entitlements across the country. He also advises clients on multi-family, retail, office, and industrial leases, and has served as trusted outside counsel for numerous small to medium-sized businesses.

Jaclyn M. Woods

Paralegal

Jaclyn brings six years of law firm experience to the Hildreth Law team. Her expertise in firm management and commercial real estate is an asset to the firm and its clients. Jaclyn has been a significant asset to Hildreth Law since joining the firm in January 2026 and continues to help it grow and service clients.

Jaclyn received her Bachelors of Science from Metropolitan State University, is a former collegiate tennis player, and enjoys spending time adventuring through the Colorado outdoors.
